Always in search for new ways to serve our customers, we recently added microcatheters to our technological portfolio. These catheters provide physicians with a growing arsenal of minimally invasive tools that improve patient outcomes and reduce time for recovery.

Through the unique combination of PTFE liner, braid reinforcement and multiple durometer jacket materials the new microcatheters provide for a super small catheter with superior tracking capability that can reach even the most challenging anatomical locations. The platinum marker band built into the tip at the distal end of the catheter ensures proper placement has been achieved and the PTFE liner facilitates either targeted drug delivery or therapeutic device placement for the treatment of stroke, tumor or other conditions.

New A-Tip™ Bonding Technique adds 'Super Soft' tip to braided catheters

TFX Medical OEM is pleased to introduce the technological advancement of our new atraumatic (A-Tip™) catheters. Through advanced processing technology, TFX Medical OEM can add a super soft tip to either a previous soft-tip that is bonded to a braided catheter shaft, or to an existing braided catheter shaft.

The new A-Tip™ allows for the super soft tip at the distal end of the catheter to ensure that any encounters along the tortuous path of an interventional radiology or angiographic catheter to the final destination will not be traumatic to any vessel walls. These developments provide greater patient comfort and added physician confidence.

As well as providing the A-Tip™ catheter component, TFX Medical OEM can provide braided catheter shafts in a variety of materials including polyurethane and pebax. TFX Medical OEM also offers value adding capabilities such as bonding a non-braided soft-tip to the braided catheter shaft, drilling, cutting, tipping and molding.
